Meeting Minutes June 9 2009 Back country 4x4 club

Fox Mountain
Lorne, Brett, and Ryan came to the meeting to give the following info.
Will be held July 24-26 at Fox Mountain Campground
Cost will be $45.00 (truck and driver) and $20.00 each per passenger $8 children under 14 to cover food.
Registration will take place Friday night for those who are already there and starts at 8:00am on Saturday morning.
Minimal Road driving
New Trails winch points along trails and bypasses available.
31 inch tires strongly recommended for event trails those with smaller maybe asked to use another route.

Fee includes pig roast dinner on Saturday Night and Breakfast on Sunday morning.
This will not be a poker run event and brown bag lunch for the woods on Saturday.
Mud Bogs will be Sunday 10.00 per class, side by side racing cash pay out.
Our Club will be in charge of children’s event. Club member in attendance okayed the use of funds for this.
There will be a scavenger hunt on the run as it was requested last year and well received.
No entry prizes this year.

Other news
Valley 4x4 off road is thinking about disbanding but there is interest in still having a club. Possible Back Country 4x4 Club Valley chapter crest and clothing is available and why not the jeep club does it.

Possible Fall event as there are other places people are looking into for this type of event

If anyone would like to take pictures or write an article about Fox M 2009 there is a magazine that would be willing to look at it for publishing.

Lorne was at the backcountry meeting night and he said just as 85runna said. The MVI statement is just to cover their asses, if you bring a rig that aint mvi'd then it doesn't fall back on lorne or the campground. Hope to see some of ya show up. For friday night it's gonna be a drunk fest, WICKED wheeling Saturday, & MUDDDD Bog Drags Sunday. Dun forget July 24th, 25th & 26th :dude: :dude:
