the main part going across is 6" channel, then i built the frame for the sides with 1x2" stock, plated it in with sheet metal i had around the building (14g ish).

the best part was i could not get the bumper off the jeep because clearances where so tight, so i had to weld the whole think on jeep, and all done with a stick.
